Dell repair for everyday problems and advanced faults.
Slow performance, startup problems, broken screens, batteries, charging issues, keyboards, overheating, upgrades, or no power. We service Dell computers from common hardware repairs through motherboard-level diagnosis when needed.

Section 02 / Diagnosis
Where Dell laptops actually fail
Dell builds across a very wide range, from Inspiron to Alienware, but the failure points cluster in a handful of places.
Charging: barrel jacks and USB-C
Older Dells use a barrel jack that takes mechanical stress on its solder joints. Newer ones charge over USB-C through a power delivery controller. Both fail, and both are board repairs rather than reasons to replace a laptop.
XPS display cables
The thin-bezel design routes a fine display cable through a tight hinge. Repeated opening wears it, and the symptom is flicker or lines that change with lid position. Replacing the panel does not fix a cable fault.
Power rails on the board
A dead Dell is normally one shorted rail rather than a dead board. The rails are brought up in sequence and measured until the one that failed is identified.
Thermal and power delivery under load
Alienware and higher-spec XPS machines draw hard and run hot. Shutdowns that only appear during real work are reproduced under sustained load rather than diagnosed at idle.

Dell repairs we take on
DC jack and USB-C charging repair
Loose and snapped jacks replaced, plus the charging circuitry behind them that a port swap alone does not address. SVC-02No power and no charge faults
Traced through the power sequence until the stage that stopped it is found. SVC-03Screen, cable, and hinge repair
Cracked panels, flickering XPS displays, worn display cables, and the hinge damage behind them. SVC-04Motherboard microsoldering
Shorted rails, failed controllers, lifted pads, and damaged traces rebuilt under a microscope. SVC-05Liquid damage restoration
Cleaned before the corrosion spreads, then the traces and components it destroyed get rebuilt. SVC-06Data recovery
Machines that will not boot or mount. Recovery attempted before any repair that could risk the data.Section 05 / Other makes

Section 06 / Questions
Before you book
Dell says the motherboard needs replacing and it costs more than the laptop. Is there another option?
Usually. A board replacement is the answer when component-level repair is not offered. A diagnosis identifies which stage on the board failed, and repairing that stage is typically a fraction of what a replacement board costs, especially on out-of-warranty machines where boards are scarce.
My XPS screen flickers when I move the lid. Do I need a new screen?
Probably not. Flicker that changes with lid position points at the display cable running through the hinge, which wears on thin-bezel designs. A panel replacement does not fix a cable fault, and it is significantly more expensive.
It says plugged in but not charging. Is the battery dead?
Not usually. That message appears when the charging circuit on the board has failed, when the jack has worked loose, or when the adapter cannot supply what the machine expects. All three need checking before a battery is bought.
Do you work on Alienware?
Yes. They run hot and draw hard, so thermal faults and power delivery failures are more common on them than on the rest of the range. Both are diagnosed under sustained load with monitoring attached.
