Game console repair for HDMI, charging, power, and overheating problems.
No picture, damaged HDMI port, Switch not charging, console shuts down, no power, overheating, or prior repair damage. We diagnose the symptom first and repair the failed port, cooling system, power circuit, or board damage when practical.
Section 01 / Symptoms
What is the console doing?
Section 02 / Capability
Port repair is only part of the diagnosis
Consoles sit in living rooms with cables hanging out of them. A cable gets caught, the port takes the force, and the force travels straight into the solder joints under it. That is where most console repairs start, but not where they end.
HDMI
Physical port, pads and traces, and the surrounding display circuitry. Replaced pin by pin under magnification, with the board underneath checked before reassembly.
USB-C and charging
Switch charging port and the charging circuitry behind it. The Switch charges and docks through one connector, so it absorbs far more insertions than any other port on any console.
Power faults
No-power and immediate-shutdown diagnosis, traced through the order the console brings its voltages up.
Thermal service
Cleaning, fan and cooling repair, and testing under load. Consoles run in enclosed cabinets and collect dust for years, so shutdowns under load are often cooling rather than a failing board.

Before you book
My PS5 turns on but there is no picture on the TV. Is the console dead?
Almost certainly not. That is the signature of a damaged HDMI port. The console runs normally and simply cannot get a signal out, because the port pins have torn and the pads beneath them have lifted. It is a contained board repair, not a replacement.
My Switch stopped charging and will not dock. Is it the cable?
Try another cable first, but it is usually the port. The Switch charges and docks through a single USB-C connector, so it takes far more insertions than any other port on any console, and it works loose over time. Replacing it is a straightforward repair.
Is repairing a console cheaper than buying a new one?
In these cases, substantially. A port repair is a fraction of the cost of a replacement console, and it keeps your library, saves, and account exactly where they are, which is the part that is genuinely hard to replace.
The fan is very loud and it shuts down during games.
Usually years of dust and dried thermal compound rather than a failing board. Consoles sit in enclosed cabinets and collect it steadily. It is diagnosed by measuring temperatures under sustained load so a service is not sold where a repair is needed, or the reverse.
Book
Bring the console to the Massapequa shop.
If the issue is HDMI related, bring the console. The HDMI cable is only needed if the symptom depends on a specific cable. For intermittent or accessory-specific problems, bring the accessory that reproduces the fault. $40 diagnostic credited toward approved repair.
